Compost to a gardener means two things.

The first is plant matter that has been decomposed and can be recycled as a fertilizer, mulch or soil amendment. Compost containers and accelerators, such as Garotta, are always available to help with recycling.

It contains added soil and bark fines to reduce the peat content, so you have a better compost. Recently, with a hike in peat prices and a poor harvest due to bad weather, we have further reduced the peat content by adding coir to the mix. Back to back trials showed the new formulation to be equal to or slightly better than the old mix!
