Meet The Team


Ria is the general manager at Cleeve Nursery. She has moved from Cornwall where she worked at Duchy of Cornwall Nursery looking after a large range of plants and the Eden Project in the tropical nursery. She qualified in horticulture with a first-class BSc honours in 2015. She has a passion for garden design, displays and houseplants.


Judith joined Cleeve Nursery in 2003, having gained an HND in Horticulture from Pershore College. Initially employed as a garden centre assistant she became garden centre supervisor in 2008.

Aside from general plant and customer care, Judith is responsible for climbing plants and for purchasing garden sundries, fertiliser, pest control items and the large wildlife section.

Judith is also one of our designers who undertakes our Border Design Service.


Manuel is a supervisor and looks after the trees, shrubs and tools.

He is passionate about horticulture, particularly japanese methods, with an in-depth knowledge of plants and garden design.

Manuel holds a RHS Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of Garden Planning, Construction and Planting and  a RHS Level 3 Certificate in Practical Horticulture. Manuel recently also completed his RHS Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of Plant Growth, Health and Applied Propagation.


Alex is our most recent addition to the team. He has worked as a gardener for over a decade, he loves plants and he will be looking after our planted areas, delivering plants to our customers and keeping the garden centre tidy.


Lauren is from Dartmoor, where she worked in plant sales working with a wide range of plants in a 10 acre garden.

She is currently studying for her RHS Level 2 in Plant Growth, Propagation & Development, with the goal to move onto her RHS Level 3 diploma this year. Lauren looks after the herbaceous perennials and the bedding plants and enjoys helping with the displays.


Sharon joined the team at Cleeve Nursery in September 2003, after working many years in nursing. Sharon also holds the RHS Level 3 qualification.

She is an extremely keen home gardener with a special interest in growing her own fruit and vegetables.

She enjoys tending the Cleeve Nursery demonstration allotment.


Sarah can usually be found on the tills and helping customers, but she also helps with watering, weeding and keeping our indoor goods topped up. Sarah also sources beautiful greeting cards. She enjoys gardening at home and loves plants.
